"Life gets increasingly difficult in these days leading up to the rapture.  Hate stands above love in the hearts of men. ''

BGCO Executive Director

John Yeats, Editor, Oklahoma Baptist Messenger

"It is not God's desire that his church, for which Christ prayed for unity, would be divided.  The desire of one to impose his beliefs upon others will only RESULT in division.  We must work together to share the truth of the gospel to every person."

"The 2003 Annie Armstrong offering was 7 percent below our goal of $53 million.  This continues a trend of stagnant, declining offerings among Southern Baptists.  We've met out goal only twice in the last 20 years...  In 2004, NAMB is unable to fill hundreds (181) of vacant positions, because of the lack of gifts. We have stopped enlisting missionaries.. NAMB missionaries are reaching out to all people groups befriending them, helping meet needs, and in all ways pointing them to Christ."

Bob Reccord, North American Mission Board

 Danny Akin, Southeastern Seminary

"Southeastern Seminary and Olford Institute have a common commitment and conviction concerning expository preaching  for building great churches."

(This is different than the church Christ is building? We withdraw from the BWA in June.)

"Ruth of the Old Testament saved her people, yet she had no  authority to do so. This was not in conformance with the 2000 SBC message."

Keith Wilkerson, Oklahoma Sunday School Specialist

Jerry Rankin, International Mission Board

"Overseas baptisms exceeded 500,000 for the first time. Global events are creating a spiritual hunger, traditional barriers are falling, and the harvest is accelerating."
